Why cedar is the starting material.
Cedar is widely used for outdoor products and has the warm wood appearance many customers expect from a raised garden bed. It is the starting material while the company tests the exact construction specification for the first production models.
The final lumber grade, board thickness, fastening method, liner recommendations, and finish options are still being documented. No service life is promised because performance depends on the selected material, drainage, soil contact, sun exposure, finish, and care.
