How Delivery Pricing Works
Delivery is quoted with your order rather than charged at a flat rate. The three things that move the price are distance from our shop, the size and weight of the product, and how accessible the drop-off point is.
Why Delivery Is Quoted Rather Than Published
Publishing one delivery price would mean overcharging most customers and undercharging the rest. A single planter and a set of four raised beds are different deliveries even to the same address, and an address with a wide driveway is a different job from one where everything has to be carried through a side gate.
So delivery is priced with the order. The things that move it are the distance from our shop, the size and weight of what is being delivered, the quantity, whether any assembly is involved, and how accessible the drop-off point is.
Access and Placement
The detail most likely to complicate a delivery is the last thirty feet. Tell us at quote time where the product actually needs to end up, particularly if it is going through a gate, up or down steps, along a narrow side return, or into a back garden that cannot be reached from the street.
Gate widths are worth measuring. A finished piece that will not fit through the only opening to the back garden is a problem worth catching early, and providing those details during the quote helps the delivery requirements be reviewed before the order is confirmed.
Delivery Format and Assembly
The delivery format is confirmed in your quote rather than assumed. It can depend on the size of the product, transport limits and the access at the address, and assembly or final placement may be quoted alongside it. If you need the product placed in a specific spot rather than left at the kerb, say so in the request so the quote reflects the work involved.

A Listed City Is Not a Guarantee
The list above is where delivery is routine, not a boundary and not a promise. A city appearing on it does not guarantee that every address or every order within it can be served, because access and order size matter as much as distance. If you are beyond the list, send the address anyway. Whether it works usually depends on the size of the order rather than the mileage alone.

Larger and Multi-Unit Orders
For a larger or multi-unit order, the quantity, the dimensions, the access and the delivery location need to be reviewed together rather than one at a time. A run of matching planters going to one address is a different delivery from the same number of pieces spread across a site.
The site details that matter most are the loading area, the access window, the unloading route and anything between where a vehicle can stop and where the units actually go, including stairs, elevators, turns and walking distance. Send them with the request rather than at scheduling. Delivery Is Scheduled Around the Build
Everything here is made to order, so a delivery is scheduled around the production of your pieces rather than dispatched from stock. That is why a delivery date is confirmed with the order rather than offered in advance, and why the delivery and assembly format is confirmed in the quote based on the specific order rather than assumed.
If there is a date you are working towards, an opening, an event or a season you want the pieces in place for, say so in the request. It is reviewed alongside the rest of the order.
After the Delivery
Where a piece is placed matters as much after delivery as it does on the day. Drainage, airflow and keeping timber out of standing water do more for the life of an outdoor piece than anything applied to the surface, and a planter sitting flat on a wooden deck or in a low spot in the yard will hold water against itself after every storm.
